Automation system is helpful in remote location

I really enjoy peace, quiet and privacy.

I built my home in a secluded area, over twenty miles from the nearest neighbor.

My house is surrounded by woods, and I often catch sight of turkeys, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons and deer in my yard. Being so far removed from professional services makes it necessary to take very good care of my essential systems and equipment. I can’t take the chance of being left without heat in the middle of a January blizzard. A modern automation system has proven especially helpful in operating essential components. All of my smart appliances and systems are incorporated into a single control hub that I can access via my phone, tablet or laptop. I’ve been able to set up programs that add convenience, trim energy costs and ensure proper upkeep. The automation system includes occupancy sensors that turn on lights and adjust temperature when I enter or exit a room. It raises and lowers blinds to take advantage of the warmth of afternoon sunlight in the winter and avoid it in the summer. The standby generator is linked to the automation system, and in the event of a power outage, starts up almost immediately and powers the most crucial appliances. I also receive notices by way of the automation system when it’s time to schedule maintenance for the furnace, air conditioner and water heater. While the security system is an aspect that isn’t a priority in my location, I appreciate a secure living environment. I also enjoy watching wildlife on surveillance cameras. They are motion activated and provide real time footage.
