One of my favorite things I enjoy is travel and stay in hotels.

It is nice to know that at a hotel, there are people who will do just about anything you ask. Of course, these requests come at a price, however that is okay. A requirement I regularly request when I am looking for a hotel to stay in is that the room has control of the heating and cooling. If there is not a thermostat in the room, I will not stay there. I am lucky to be with someone who enjoys sleeping in a cold room and with many fans. I can not sleep well in a boiling room that is too quiet. I like the idea of being able to control the temperature in the hotel room. I recently stayed in a hotel where there was access to the thermostat, however the temperature only went down to 74 degrees. In order to sleep comfortably, I need to be in a room that is at least 77 degrees. With one easy iphone call, I was able to have the front desk adjust the temperature in our hotel to 74 degrees. I did not like that they had a block on the thermostat in this hotel room, but I understood. The front desk told us that people would come from the Northern states where it was really cold and adjust the thermostat to fit their comfort zone, then people had been setting the thermostat at 60 degrees and chilly the HVAC system for many years before the hotel decided to put the lock on the thermostat.
