My grandma is a very kind, generous, elderly lady who loves her old wood furnace and rusty old window air conditioner system.

In the summer, she often will make fresh lemonade and sit on her recliner in the cooling air of her old air conditioner sipping her lemonade perfectly. My siblings and I tried to tell grandma that both her air conditioner and furnace were getting old and about to quit working, but she didn’t want to change anything because she was so happy with her HVAC systems the way they were. One day, to grandma’s dismay, her air conditioning quit working on a very hot summer day. She was so upset she didn’t know what to do. She called me and asked me to help her fix it so I called the nearby HVAC company and asked if they would send a technician to help fix it. When the HVAC technician arrived, he told us the air conditioner was broken beyond repair and that my grandma needed to order a new one. My grandma told the cooling technician she wanted the best air conditioning unit she could get. The technician installed a new air conditioning system that cooled her entire house all summer. She was very pleased with her new air conditioner and went back to drinking her lemonade on her reloner in the cool air. My siblings and I were also glad she had a new air conditioner because her old one was in bad condition and could have caused a lot of problems eventually.
