My fiance is a cheapskate.
My friend and I used a refrigerator for two years after the handle broke off the door because it still cooled. He has piles of used screws and nails. He never throws anything out and he refuses to pay if my pal and I don’t have to. And he is constantly looking for a deal. He won’t even pay money for routine Heating & A/C maintenance. He insists on waiting until something goes wrong, well, this time something went wrong and he insisted on waiting for a sale to have the Heating & A/C component looked at! Talk about a cheapskate! My friend and I live in a subtropical area, and like a lot of other people and dealers around here, my pal and I have central heat and air conditioning provided by a self contained component outside our house, near the back door. I noticed several months back that the humming sound it makes sounded different and the force of the air from the vents wasn’t as strong as it used to be. I mentioned this complication to my fiance and he told me that my pal and I would have the Heating & A/C component looked at when a local Heating & A/C corporation has a sale on services. I’ve been watching for local sales and my pal and I ended up waiting three months. The air conditioning barely worked by then. The Heating & A/C business that came out explained what was wrong with it, and his explanation went right over my head. But, the point was, because my pal and I put off getting the Heating & A/C repaired, it was now too late to maintenance it and my pal and I needed a whole up-to-date Heating & A/C unit.
