I don’t usually find myself involved in a lot of conflict.
I’m fairly easy to get along with, so long as you are reasonably considerate.
I’m able to look past most bad behavior so long as I can see good intention behind it, or can justify the mishap somehow; however, there are times when it is clear that someone is simply being a jerk, and they have no intention to be any sort of upstanding human being. This is what I’ve recently encountered with my new neighbor, who has proven to be an unwavering butthole. Since the day that they moved in, it has been so much louder in my neighborhood. They’re constantly yelling, blasting music, and getting into screaming matches in the street. Beyond that, they also brought with them a huge, ancient AC unit which makes the most ungodly sounds I’ve ever heard in my life. I seriously think this thing might be a hazard; it sounds like it could explode at any moment. The air conditioner is running constantly, all hours of the day and night, and it makes this horrifying wailing sound for most of that time. To make things worse, the neighborhood dogs bark furiously at it. I’ve gently approached my neighbor and recommended several reasonable HVAC companies in town that would be able to assist with replacing his old cooling system, but these attempts have resulted in huge conflicts and animosity. I know that it is hot outside and everyone deserves relief from the heat and humidity in their own home, but the disturbance caused by this contraption is crossing the line!
