One of my favorite things to do is travel and stay in hotels.

It is nice to know that at a hotel, there are people who will do just about anything you ask. Of course, these requests come at a price, however that is okay. A requirement I consistently request when I am looking for a hotel to stay in is that the room has control of the heating and cooling. If there is not a temperature control in the room, I will not stay there. I am fortunate to be with someone who enjoys sleeping in a freezing room and with multiple fans. I can not sleep well in a tepid room that is too quiet. I like the idea of being able to control the temperature in the hotel room. I recently stayed in a hotel where there was access to the temperature control, however the temperature only went down to 79 degrees. In order to sleep comfortably, I need to be in a room that is at least 70 degrees. With one self-explanatory phone call, I was able to have the front desk adjust the temperature in our hotel to 70 degrees. I did not like that they had a block on the temperature control in this hotel room, although I understood. The front desk told us that people would come from the Northern states where it was unquestionably freezing and adjust the temperature control to fit their comfort zone! People had been setting the temperature control at 60 degrees and cold the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system for various years before the hotel decided to put the lock on the temperature control.
